Beef Lasagna

Steps

Brown:

I use a large electric skillet for this. After the meat is brown, I drain off the melted fat, but that's not part of the recipe. Then add 29 oz. Tomato Sauce and 29 oz Pureed Tomatoes (29 oz being the large cans of tomato stuff). Season with 1 tbls or so of oregano. Simmer.

Meanwhile, cook 1 lb lasanga noodles. I've tried the no-boil kind but I don't like them very much, much better luck with boil kind.

Mix

1/2 lb grated parmesian

Layering

For some reason the quantities in this recipe don't quite work with the pans I have, so I usually get a bit more than it calls for and use two pans. But at any rate, the layering is the same for 1 or 2 pans. Start with a little bit of sauce across the bottom of the pan. Then one layer of noodles, one layer of sauce and one layer of cheese. There should be three layers. Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 30 minutes or so. The recipe as is doesn't have a pretty top.
